Dr. ŞAHİN was born in Eskişehir, Turkey in 1979. He started his medical training at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Faculty of Medicine. A graduate of Gülhane Military Medical School, Dr. ŞAHİN completed his residency in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Haydarpaşa Training Hospital in 2011. During his residency he was involved in many scientific studies. In the same year, he was awarded two second prizes in the expert and assistant research competitions organized by Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association. Dr. ŞAHİN was developed a new surgical technique in the field of hand surgery with Dr. Özge ERGÜN, and it was awarded first prize by Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association Meeting in 2013 and this technique was presented at many meetings abroad. He was awarded again three times by Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association Meetings in 2013 and 2015.

He is certified by the Turkish Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Cihan ŞAHİN became an associate professor at 2017.
